DISCOVER THE NEIGHBORHOOD

architecture

A perfect composition

This beautifully composed architectural feat pays homage to the adjacent Rockefeller Guest House, completed in 1950 by renowned architect Philip Johnson. Minuet’s travertine and oak-paneled lobby was inspired by the beautiful stone surrounding the iconic courtyard and paneling found in the guestrooms, while the lush greenery on the rooftop recreates the serene “urban oasis” that put the landmark property on the map.

The Porcelanosa® façade, with cylindrical metal spandrels and vertical mullions, honors not only the neighboring modernist masterpiece but also other icons of mid-century design, including the nearby Seagram Building, Lever House, and many Emery Roth buildings that line Midtown East.
